Do you enjoy nature? Hiking? Strolling the beach? Surfing the web? We have a project for you! Citizen scientists are ordinary members of the public who help scientists with their work. Learn how you can enjoy your favorite activities while contributing to local projects like observing local flora and fauna and collecting, measuring, or analyzing what you see! All ages and skill levels are welcome!

Presented by the San Diego Public Library in partnership with Mark2Cure and The Wet Lab.

Here are some of the organizations taking part this year: American Gut, Barcode of Life, Cal Flora, California Department of Wildlife, Democracy Counts, Gulf of California Marine Program, I Love a Clean San Diego, Ocean Sanctuaries, San Diego Audubon Society, San Diego Mycological Society, San Diego Natural History Museum, San Diego Regional Data Library, San Diego River Park Foundation, San Diego Tracking Team, and the Surfrider Foundation.
