Event Details

UCSD undergraduate Communication majors will present their research and explorations of possible art forms and gathering places in City Heights. Their work grew out of an especially designed course called, "Communication as Art and the Art of Communication," led by UCSD professor Olga Vásquez and co-lecturer Jim Bliesner, former and current City Heights residents. The specific territory investigated by the students is University Ave. between 43rd and I-15 as well as a section of the I-15 freeway corridor itself.  The presentation will be followed by a discussion on the ideas as well as the efforts to establish a City Heights Cultural District with the California Arts Council along these corridors.
