Event Details

The City of San Diego Environmental Services Department is hosting a series of free in-person workshops aimed at educating City-serviced residents on the new organic waste recycling (food waste and yard waste) curbside collection rollout. These workshops will aim to cover what types of organic waste to put in the green bin, why organic waste recycling is important, best practices on how to participate in this new program, as well as provide residents with an opportunity to ask City staff any recycling-related questions they may have. In addition, attendees will have a chance to pick up free compost and receive handouts to help them recycle at home. Language interpretation services are available upon request.
