Program Description

Event Details

Ever wonder how climate change works? As we’ve seen in the news, the thin atmosphere on our beautiful planet is heating up. We will discuss the Earth’s natural climate system and how humans have changed it by pumping greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. We will also look at ways to solve and adapt to climate change.

The presenter, Jennifer Olim, earned her PhD in Geology from the University of Minnesota. Her master's and bachelor's degrees are in physics, from the University of Toronto and University of Victoria. She is an adjunct professor in the Science and Engineering Department at Cuyamaca College.

This San Diego Oasis event is free to attend thanks to the generous support of the Friends of the Mission Hills-Hillcrest/Branch Library.
