Event Details

The comic book industry is filled with people working as Writers, Artists and Editors. However, there are many other careers that help shape, influence, and strengthen the industry as a whole. This discussion will focus on these various careers as well as what the industry needs to continue to do in order to grow and thrive. Featuring: 

Regine L. Sawyer - Owner/Writer at Lockett Down Productions and the Coordinator and Founder of the Women in Comics Collective International

Vanee Smith-Matsalia - Educator, Contributor at Black Girl Nerds, and Sci-Fi Writer

Jay Justice  - Cosplayer, Costumer, and Activist

Jill Robi - Contributor at Black Girl Nerds and the Founder and Creator of the JillRobisfangirl.us aka Diary of a Fangirl, Home of the Squee

Jewels Smith - Educator, Activist, Writer and Creator of (H)afrocentric the comic.

Alice Meichi Li- Mainstream/Independent Artist and Illustrator
