Program Description

Event Details

During the fall we are celebrating the launch of our seed library here at City Heights/Weingart Library, and will be hosting a series of programming all about urban farming, gardening and composting.

Please join us for the first of these programs, a COMMUNITY PLANT SWAP! Bring your plant cuttings, seedlings, surplus harvest or plants that need a new home to swap with other gardeners. All types of plants are welcome—please label if possible. Optional but not required: feel free to bring extra containers, gardening books, or small gardening tools that are in good condition that you no longer use to share with new gardeners.

The City of San Diego's Environmental Services Department will be providing small bags of compost. Learn more about organic waste recycling and compost utilization from a subject matter expert!

Light refreshments provided.
