23rd Annual Toy Piano Festival

Featuring Scott Paulson, Festival Director

In partnership with UC San Diego Library

American composer John Cage's birthday is coming up (September 5), and that means that the Annual Toy Piano Festival will make a special stop at the Neil Morgan Auditorium.  The fest has become a family favorite, and all ages are welcome.

Exciting new works for toy piano and traditional lullabies from many lands will be featured on the program!

Performers at the festival include: Sarah Amos, Kay Etheridge, Christian Hertzog, Ken Herman, Sue Palmer, Scott Paulson, Samara Rice, Barbara Scheidker, and Alex Segal.

UC San Diego Library’s 23rd Annual Toy Piano Festival is hosted at two locations this year:

Sunday, August 27 at 2:30pm in the Neil Morgan Auditorium of San Diego Central Library, 330 Park Boulevard

and Tuesday, September 5 at noon in the Seuss Room of UC San Diego’s Geisel Library building.

Did you know?  There is a Toy Piano Collection at UC San Diego's Geisel Library? The Toy Piano Collection consists of actual instruments, commissioned scores, and extant literature and recordings. Most of the commissioned scores in the collection are composed by UC San Diego alumni.
