Program Description

Event Details

Kamishibai Story Builders is a storytelling workshop for ages 7–10. In this 90-minute session, children imagine a story world, develop characters, and shape an eight-scene adventure. Through guided prompting, students practice critical thinking as we teach them simple AI prompting techniques that show how to direct illustrations to match their story ideas. The session concludes with a Kamishibai picture-card performance, giving one student a chance to build confidence in public speaking while classmates support the narration.

This program blends classic Japanese picture-theater with modern tools, encouraging teamwork, imagination, clear communication, and structured storytelling. Designed for smooth classroom flow and high participation, it offers a final performance moment that children are proud to share.

Seats are limited.
