Laura’s Story takes place during the pandemic, in the aftermath of George Floyd’s murder, as Laura embarks on a journey to learn about African-American history—not so much about slavery, the Civil War, and the Civil Rights Movement but that crucial century in between.

Starring actors Nicki Barnes, Jon Alexander Hewitt, Jena Joyce, Walter Murray, and more. Directed by John Tessmer.

 

Staged readings presented by the La Jolla Theatre Ensemble on Saturday, November 29 at 4pm and Monday, December 1 at 6pm.
