Program Description

Event Details

Here we discuss the best true crime books.  While the stories can be gruesome and the characters repulsive, the stories entertain and often promote considerations of sociological and psychological perspectives.  We will discuss the narratives and the storytelling.  We meet via Zoom on the third Tuesday of the month at 6:30 pm.  This month's selection is "Trailed".  An account of the unsolved murder of two women in Shenandoah National Park, by a journalist with unprecedented access to all key elements of the case, and a story that reveals the challenges of wilderness forensics and the failures of our justice system.  SDPL and SDCL have copies.  If they become unavailable search via Circuit or Link+.  If you are unfamiliar with those platforms consult a librarian (or just reach out to me).
