This program is for ages 15 and up.
Robert J. Gallo has a broad background in literature, writing and teaching. He graduated with a Liberal Arts degree in English from San Diego State University in 1980. While in the Air Force, stationed in England, he studied British authors and Shakespeare. Robert has had extensive writing experience in journalism, beginning with graduate level work at Utah State University as a teaching assistant, and as editor of the school’s monthly magazine. He worked as a reporter and photojournalist for several newspapers and magazines, and as a stringer for Associated Press International.
Robert earned his Master’s degree in Education at USIU. He taught English to middle and high school students, as well as editing the school newspaper and working on yearbooks. He also taught college level courses in Education, Academic Writing and English at Chapman, National, Alliant and UCSD extension colleges. He was twice a Fellow at the San Diego Area Writing Program. Robert is now retired and enjoys reading, cooking and gardening. He lives with his wife of 43 years and their dog. He has two adult daughters.
