Program Description

Event Details

San Diego County handles approximately 9,000 cases of elder and dependent abuse each year. Many incidents go unreported, leaving vulnerable adults in distressing, potentially life-changing, even dangerous situations. For varied reasons, victims often do not report these abuses and therefore are unaware there are professional resources available to help them in these tragic situations.

Seniors can fall prey to many of the financial scam that are used to gain access to life savings. In this regard, some of the deceptive tactics used by criminals will be discussed.

Sponsored by the Rancho Bernardo Friends of the Library.
