Event Details

The workshop is to help participants recognize online scammers and learn how to share information online responsibly. Topics covered include, but are not limited to, protecting private information, what motivates a scammer, types of online scams (from phishing to doxing) and identity theft, how to identify fake online stores, being aware of the posts they share, and tips for navigating the internet safely.

This workshop is presented by DSA. DSA is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization promoting responsible data science (RDS) and AI practices through projects, events, and a comprehensive internship and volunteer program.

 

All ages welcome, most appropriate for ages 11 - 14. Register required. Walk-ins welcome if space is available.
