Day of Silence is a national student-led demonstration where LGBTQ+ people, all around the world, intentionally take a vow of silence to protest the harmful effects of harassment & discrimination of LGBTQ+ youth in schools, the workplace, & other public spaces.

Started in the mid-90s by college students, Day of Silence has grown to reach hundreds of thousands of LGBTQ+ community members & their allies every year. Every April, LGBTQ+ community members go throughout their entire school or workday without speaking, ending the day with Breaking the Silence rallies & events to share their experiences & to bring attention to strategies for creating more inclusive schools, workplaces, & communities. https://www.glsen.org/day-of-silence

Please feel free to print & use the attached Day of Silence participation cards & Stay Silent to Break the Silence! #SupportLGBTQIAYouth     #BreakingtheSilence
