Norma Iglesias Prieto presents Del Otro Lado de la Línea/The Other Side of the Line, a 2008 binational children's animation project for which a group of middle schoolers from each side of the Tijuana-San Diego Border participated in a workshop led by French animators and engaged in a double-learning and exchange to produce short animated films set in the context of the other side.
Join us to hear Norma talk about what inspired the project, her experience as project lead, and what the process and resulting animations revealed about the border/transborder as a condition and lived experience.
