Event Details

Dixie Hall, creator and owner of DixiePops,will give an informal talk about her successful business and her mantra:  "Friends Don't Let Friends Eat Bad Desserts." Many of us are fans of the ice cream she serves that is "comfort," "kid friendly," and "hipster."

Originally from South Dakota, she has lived in Mission Hills since 2012. She opened her first DixiePops shop in Little Italy in 2017. The shop moved and is currently at First and Washington. The store is a favorite stop for young and old and some canine customers for the Pup Pops.

Dixie started making popsicles after visiting her daughter in Dallas and seeing an ice pops business. She quickly figured out that she needed to learn more to succeed. She read some how-to books and watched YouTube videos and let her imagination soar. Today DixiePops is a Mission Hills/Hillcrest gem.
