Join the San Diego Public Library and DQSH: San Diego for a festive and fabulous holiday-themed story time with the one and only Lil Miss Hot Mess! It's an unforgettable celebration of joy, inclusivity, and holiday cheer. Before the storytime, enjoy a magical musical performance by Kathryn the Grape!

Registration is recommended, Families that register will be eligible to receive an autographed copy of one of Lil Miss Hot Mess's picture books, while supplies last!

PRIDE Storytime is a family-friendly way of recognizing and celebrating our diversity and individuality through age-appropriate stories & songs.

Lil Miss Hot Mess is an author and storyteller and serves on the board for Drag Story Hour. She is the author of the children’s book The Hips on the Drag Queen Go Swish, Swish, Swish (Running Press Kids, 2020), If You’re a Drag Queen and You Know It (Running Press Kids, 2022), and Make Your Own Rainbow: A Drag Queen’s Guide to Color (Running Press Kids, 2025). She has hosted readings around the country, including for the Brooklyn Museum, RuPaul’s Drag Con, HBO, WNET’s Let’s Learn, Utah Humanities, Tucson Humanities Festival, and numerous libraries, schools, and community groups coast-to-coast.

Kathryn the Grape is an award -winning songwriter and children's entertainer, who teaches the concepts of self-love, self-kindness and love and kindness to others to children through a rainbow of affirmations and a treasure box of tools of love in her books, songs, and videos.
