Event Details

The Dreamland Showcase is a public event meant to honor the memory of Teri Joaquin, a teaching artist known for introducing Whacking to San Diego.

The group hosting this event is called the Healing Arts Embassy (THAE). THAE hosts donation based workshops and creates performance opportunities to improve the lives of local artists. THAE was founded in 2023 by Era Molina, a close friend of Teri Joaquin. Era felt called to continue Teri's efforts of uplifting local artists.

This is a collection of works that honor Teri's acceptance of all gender expressions and celebration of every dancer that entered his classroom; talents include choreographed pieces, improvisations, spoken word, singing, and more.
