Poets Imagine a different climate narrative

Award-winning San Diego poets Sandra Alcosser, Kazim AliBrandon CesmatShadab Zeest Hashmi, and Ishmael von Heidrick-Barnes will read poems that address ecological and humanitarian concerns regarding water, food, and hunger.

Ecopoetry is not nature poetry. It is poetry with a strong ecological emphasis as a response to climate change, global warming, and pending ecological disaster. 


This April National Poetry Month reading will also include poems that capture San Diego’s unique ecology as it relates to our personal and communal lives.
