Seeing a butterfly float and flutter in the garden is a wonderful treat, and Luann will share how we can derive even more enjoyment from these lovely creatures!
After a brief discussion of butterfly biology and life cycles, Luann will show photos of San Diego butterflies and explain how to identify them. We'll discuss butterfly nectar and host plants that can be incorporated in our gardens to entice butterflies, and you will learn how you can become a butterfly gardener. This year Luann and her husband raised and released 135 native butterflies of various species -- a fun and rewarding hobby.
