The First Cat in Space Threw a Pizza Party: A Back to School Celebration

The First Cat in Space is throwing a pizza party and intergalactic guests of all ages are invited. Join us for Bingo, drawing tutorials, projected "Live Comics" by Mac Barnett and Shawn Harris, photo opportunities, giveaways, and, of course, pizza! Celebrate some of your favorite comic book heroes, Mac Barnett and Shawn Harris, as well as yourselves for making it through the first month of the school year.

1:45pm - Learn how to draw characters from "The First Cat in Space" graphic novels!

2:15pm - Play a few rounds of Bingo and win prizes including custom-made hats and copies of the graphic novels!

The theme of this back to school celebration comes from the ridiculously funny graphic novel "The First Cat in Space Ate Pizza" written by Mac Barnet and illustrated by Shawn Harris. Something terrible is happening in the skies! Rats are eating the MOON! There’s only ONE hero for the job, a bold and fearsome beast bioengineered in a secret lab to be the moon’s savior and Earth’s last hope! And that hero is . . . a cat. A cat who will be blasted into space!
