FIRST Robotics with CAD Workshop

Event Details

Students ages 10-16 will engage in an exciting, hands-on robotics program to help them prepare to take part in FIRST robotics competitions. The instructors will provide the materials and teach how to design using CAD software, build, and program in this session. Participants need to bring their own laptop/chrome books. There will be an engaging presentation followed by hands-on exercises. Prior robotics experience is not mandatory but preferred.

  • Learn about FIRST Robotics.
  • Learn how Robotics relates to the STEM field & applications in today’s world.
  • Importance and applications of Computer Aided Design (CAD)
  • OnShape CAD account setup
  • Learn to use CAD and create your own parts.
  • Design and build a robot.
  • Interact and play with a fully functional FIRST Tech Challenge Robot.

 

Session is organized and led by Siddharth Yelisetty, Captain FIRST Robotics Team "Keep It Simple II" in collaboration with Teams High Voltage, Green Griffins, Patent Pending and Spyder.

 

For ages 10 - 16. Registration required. Registration opens 6/20/25.
