Description of Event

Students ages 8-14 will engage in an exciting, hands-on robotics program to help them prepare to take part in First Lego League (FLL) or First Tech Challenge (FTC). We will provide you the materials and teach how to design, build and program (we will have laptops) robots in this session. You are welcome to bring your own laptop/chrome books. There will be an engaging presentation followed by hands-on exercises. Prior robotics experience is not mandatory, but preferred.

Topics:

  • Learn about FIRST Robotics.
  • Learn how Robotics relates to STEM field & applications of in today’s world.
  • Design and build a robot.
  • Program and test by utilizing sensors like camera, color sensors, etc.
  • Interact and play with a fully functional FIRST Tech Challenge Robot.
