The Friends of the Point Loma/Hervey Library Present:

J. Elke Ertle, author of Walled In and a long-time resident of Point Loma, grew up in West Berlin during the Cold War. At 15, she experienced firsthand every Berliner’s fear as, without warning, the Berlin Wall went up in the wee hours of a Sunday morning. Ertle will discuss the factors that led to the rise of the Wall and the dynamics that brought it down 28 years later.
