Program Description

Event Details

A young boy suddenly collapses after contracting polio. After months in a polio ward, he goes home in a wheelchair. Despite being told he may never walk again, Wayne surmounts his physical and emotional challenges by living a life of adventure. Thank God I Got Polio is a compelling testimony to the victory of human spirit and will over adversity and pain.

Wayne Raffesberger is a writer, voiceover talent, raconteur and accomplished public speaker. His short stories have been published in local anthologies in San Diego, California, and recognized in the international Lorian Hemingway Short Story Writing Contest in Key West, Florida.
