Come enjoy the harmonious music of the San Diego Mandolin Orchestra under the leadership of our former Correia music teacher, Jim Trepasso.
A mandolin orchestra is similar to a symphonic string orchestra. However, the ensemble uses the five members of the mandolin family of instruments: mandolins, mandalas, mando-cellos, mandobass, along with the string bass, bass zither, and guitars. Mandolins are generally plucked and commonly have four courses of double strings that are turned tuned in unison. Come and learn all about the mandolin family and their history.
