Program Description

Event Details

Join us for this 45 minute dramatic work, where two South African shack dwellers help each other rebuild their shacks after being forcefully removed from their older place by the City of Cape Town. Amid all their political differences they agree that this is a country where the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. A country where the previous president was accused of having raped an HIV/AIDS activist and won the case, claiming to have used showers to avoid infection. Remember that this is a country with lots of people infected and affected by the virus. Poverty and joblessness are high in this country that is also one of the youngest democracies in the world. The question is, what does the future hold for the Rainbow Nation?
