Program Description

Event Details

Dive into the world of video games at San Diego Public Library’s first ever game jam! Learn the basics of game development and design, then collaborate in teams to build your own games using a combination of Godot, RenPy, Blender, Krita, and LMMS. During the game jam, teams can work together remotely and/or in-person to complete their projects and can attend optional drop-in sessions for additional instructor support. Games will be showcased and compete for prizes at the end of the jam. Software and equipment provided. No experience required.

Registration is required.

*Participants must attend one of the below instructional sessions*

Instructional Session #1: Monday, February 27, 2023 @ 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM

Instructional Session #2: Tuesday, February 28, 2023 @ 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM

[Participants may consider staying after the instructional sessions to collaborate with their teams.


The following Drop-In Sessions for additional instructor support are optional [Additional dates/times may be added]:
