This class is for those interested in using their DNA in the construction of a family tree on Ancestry.com.

¨ Explore Ancestry.com's DNA tools for understanding DNA match relationships.

¨ Hands-on experience with computers provided in class.

¨ Step-by-step guidance through processes.

¨ Topics covered include:

              - Exploring ethnicity and deep ancestral roots.

              - Building family trees.

              - Grouping matches along relationship lines.

             - Utilizing the “thru lines” tool to find shared ancestors.

¨ Suggested Prerequisites:

              - Pre-workshop DNA test at Ancestry.com.

              - Building a small family tree.

¨ Bring birth, marriage, and death dates/locations of ancestors for tree building.

¨ Participants without a DNA test can observe and take notes on the instructor's presentation.

¨ Privacy maintained; PowerPoint presentation hides names of DNA matches.
