Program Description

Event Details

Recent major advances in the science of genetics and reduced costs of processing DNA have resulted in the accumulation of a vast new database. Scientists can now construct a family tree for all of humanity, and more clearly understand the component ancestors that resulted in the various peoples of the world today. Henry George's lecture on human origins will trace the diaspora from the proverbial Adam and Eve to the peoples of the world today.

After retiring from his career as a geological engineer for a large construction firm, Henry returned to college and earned an MA in anthropology from Arizona State University. After teaching archaeology at a college in Phoenix, Henry moved to San Diego and began lecturing at San Diego Oasis. His research specialties are Old World and New World archaeology, Peopling of the World, genetics, history, linguistics, physical science, and religion. His undergrad school is The Colorado School of Mines.

This free event is offered by San Diego Oasis.
