Event Details

In partnership with Young Women in Bio and Biopolis, female high school students will lead a workshop just for tween girls! In this workshop, students will learn to extract DNA from a banana and a strawberry as well as to visualize DNA from their own cells under a microscope. Notice DNA essentially looks the same no matter where you purify it from. Only once you get the genetic code (sequence) do you see differences.

Grades 6-8.  Limit 15.  Register below.
