Program Description

Event Details

Join us during this open-house style kickoff event for our Fall Session of Girls Who Code Club to register your student or find out more about our club and what we have planned for this session.

Girls Who Code Clubs are meant for girls (and nonbinary) to join our sisterhood of supportive peers and role models and use Computer Science to change the world. When you join a Club, you will be able to learn from fun and simple online coding tutorials, build community through interactive activities, and learn about inspiring role models. You then work in teams to design and build a Girls Who Code Project that solves real world problems you care about through code! Grades 3-12 are welcome.

Registration Required at 9/9 Open House event or onsite to participate in Fall session. Access to a laptop/chromebook/iPad is essential for this series. Please contact Melissa Barbour (MBarbour@sandiego.gov) with questions & concerns including if you want to join the club but do not have a device to use. Our Fall Session will meet the following Mondays: 9/16, 9/23, 9/30, 10/7, 10/14, 10/21, 10/28, 11/4, and 11/18.
