Event Details

Join the County of San Diego for a FREE Grandparents Raising Grandchildren/Kinship Family Backpack Drive-Thru Distribution event on Saturday, June 25, 2022! This event is for families in which grandparents or other relative caregivers (such as aunts/uncles or older siblings) who are raising relative (kinship) youth or young adults.

At the event, backpacks containing craft and game night activities for the family will be distributed, along with new backpacks for each child/youth in the family. In addition, a FREE nutritional meal from Grandma Lulu's Table will be provided, along with resources from the City of San Diego Public Library, community resources, and more!
