Program Description

Event Details

Celebrate Black History Month and Women's History Month with an inspirational and fascinating talk by Dr. Duchess Harris, author of the new book Hidden Human Computers: The Black Women of NASA. The book was inspired by Harris' grandmother who was one of the first eleven black women recruited to work at NASA in the 1950s, a tale that got the Hollywood treatment with the film Hidden Figures. This event is sponsored by the Friends of the Central Library.
