Join us on April 9 at 2:00 PM for a visit from local author Huda Al-Marashi.  She’ll share her brand-new middle grade novel, Hail Mariam — a funny, heartfelt story about friendship, faith, and finding where you belong.

Hail Hariam features Mariam Hassan, a sixth-grader who is the only Muslim student at her Catholic school. Follow her as she navigates school, family, and friendships while learning that kindness and understanding can bring people together.

Huda will talk about how she became a writer, what inspired her story, and read an excerpt from her book. Kids will have a chance to ask questions and learn what it’s like to write a real novel!

Perfect for ages 8–12 and families. This program takes place during PUSD Spring Break.
