Shining Night: A Portrait of Morten Lauridsen offers an intimate look at one of the most beloved living choral composers of our time. Presented by San Diego Master Chorale and the San Diego Central Library, this special film screening is followed by a lecture and Q&A with Pacific Chorale conductor Rob Istad, exploring Lauridsen’s life, creative process, and enduring impact on choral music. The event offers a deeper window into Lauridsen’s Lux Aeterna, featured in SD Master Chorale's upcoming Lux concerts in April, inviting audiences into the spirit and meaning behind this transcendent work.
