Just as fossils on Earth are remnants of past beings, there are fossils in the Solar System that may give answers about how the Solar System and life itself came into being. NASA is conducting a multitude of missions looking at asteroids to aid in understanding of Solar System, as well as how to take advantage of their opportunities and ameliorate their threats of collision with Earth.
