Event Details

This is a two-part session for coaches, mentors, and parents. You are welcome to bring your kids. 

Part 1: Getting it started and running.

  • Introduction to FIRST and First Lego League.

  • How to form a team and right way to recruit for the team.

  • What is FLL competition and components in the competition.

  • Differences between Explore and Challenge.

  • How to motivate and engage kids in fun and learning environment.

  • Resources for Kits and learning.

  • Do's and Don'ts of weekly meetings/working sessions.

  • Additional resources like mentors & trainings.

  • General timelines (when to form teams, order items, etc.).

  • Setting the right expectations for each team.

  • Open discussion with Q&A.
