Snacks * Face Painting * and MORE!

Kadir Nelson is an internationally known artist who has illustrated many children's books, has paintings in several museums, he did the cover for Drake's "Nothing Was the Same" album and his paintings have even adorned postage stamps. He also lived in Oak Park and attended Crawford High.

We will be honoring Kadir with a party, of course! There will be book readings by community members, refreshments and a drawing for one of 8 copies of the One Book, One San Diego title "Blue Sky, White Stars".
