Join us for the Grand Opening of the La Jolla/Riford Library’s new IDEA Lab!
Beginning at 10am with honored guest speaker: Congressman Scott Peters.
Come and visit our newly expanded IDEA Lab—home to the library’s Bio Lab, 3D Printing Lab, and so much more—which serves to better support STEAM education in the La Jolla community. Following our speakers’ remarks, all are invited to visit the new space and to see several bio lab demonstrations and our 3D printers in action!
Followed by a Bio Lab Workshop at 3pm:
DNA: The Code of Life—Extract DNA from fruits & vegetables using household materials, make a model of DNA, and take a picture of your own cells under the microscope! All ages are welcome. Limit 25. Click here to register.
