Program Description

Event Details

Over 400 youth submitted wildly imaginative ideas to address community needs, fantasies, climate change, hobbies, and more for our San Diego neighborhoods. Twelve finalists were selected by a youth jury for a one-day workshop to work at UCSD with a special AI named “Cousin” to refine their concepts.

Artwork from the final 12 artists and a slideshow of many more entries will be on view. Snacks and refreshments will be provided along with a free keychain-making activity. Two-hour validated parking is available.

Youth Speculative Design is a project of the World Design Capital San Diego Tijuana 2024, with support from the San Diego Environmental Film Festival, the San Diego Public Libraries, multiple San Diego schools, Proven Recruiting, and more.
