Program Description

Event Details

Do you enjoy movies and documentaries? Have you ever wondered what it takes to create a short or long feature film? If so, you should try independent filmmaking. Within this class you will be taught about the various stages and elements necessary to create your own film using a smartphone or a hand-held video camera. Bring an idea for a film to class and get ready to develop your story and learn about all of the necessary steps to bring your film to life. Students will develop their stories, characters, a schedule, begin script writing, and learn about budgeting and the options for equipment and editing. Lights!...Camera!...Action!

This is an in-person workshop.
