Introduction to South Indian Classical Music

South Indian classical vocalist Devesh Vashishtha has performed concerts in the U.S., Canada, and India. He and his accompanists will present an interactive lecture–demonstration on the history of South Indian classical (Carnatic) music and provide an overview of its intricate melodic and rhythmic patterns and multiple improvisational forms.
