Program Description
Event Details
Kamishibai Storytime is Japanese street theater + storytelling (Kami = paper; shibai = theatre).
Love manga? Meet its predecessor!
Before TV & comic books existed in Japan, there was kamishibai, or paper theater. With a wooden box, illustrations and a great narrator to tell the story, kiddos will be in for a treat! This special event is presented by Write Out Loud. “Ayako’s Story” (30 minutes) is intended for grades 4-6, but the entire family is welcome to join us outside on the front patio of the library.
