Event Details
During this Know Your Rights Workshop, attendees will learn about their rights as immigrants in the U.S. and in San Diego, and how to approach situations such as dealing with ICE and/or CBP, what kind of relief or public benefits they may be eligible for, and what kind of potential scenarios they should approach with caution.
The presentation will be followed by limited free legal consultations provided by University of San Diego Immigration Legal Clinic.
If you are unable to meet with someone at the event, the Legal Clinic attorneys and law student volunteers will also be leaving information about how to schedule a free consultation with them in the future. All USD Legal Clinics operate on a pro bono basis, subject to certain client qualifications.
Durante este taller para conocer tus derechos, los asistentes aprenderán sobre sus derechos como inmigrantes en los EE. UU. y en San Diego, y cómo abordar situaciones tales como lidiar con ICE y/o CBP, a qué tipo de alivio o beneficios públicos pueden ser elegibles y qué tipo de escenarios potenciales deben acercarse con precaución.
La presentación será seguida por consultas legales gratuitas limitadas proporcionadas por la clínica legal de Inmigración de la Universidad de San Diego.
Si no puede reunirse con alguien en el evento, los abogados de la Clínica Legal y los estudiantes voluntarios de derecho también dejarán infromación sobre cómo programar una consulta gratuita con ellos en el futuro.
