Join us in celebrating Korean American Day on January 13th! In this virtual program, you will make a Korean paper plate drum and learn the meaning of the Korean Taegeuk symbol. We'll make some noise to celebrate this special day!

Craft kits will be delivered to the branch you specified during registration and you will be notified by library staff when it is ready for pick up. If you register after January 6, there is a chance your kit may arrive late, or you can pick it up at Central Library. Everyone is welcome to watch this program, whether or not they have a kit in hand.

Got your own supplies? All you need are:

  • Paper Plates (x2)
  • Wooden Stick/Skewer
  • Crayons
  • String/Twine
  • Tape
  • Beads (x2)

We'll be sending out the Zoom link for the program the day of the program.

Now, over one hundred years later, the Korean American population is the largest outside of Korea and is influencing everything from food, to music to fashion.
