Event Details

Las Posadas is Christmas tradition celebrated in Mexico and other Latino Countries. Las Posadas means "dwellings" or "inns" in Spanish. Las Posadas celebrates the journey of Joseph and Mary searching for a shelter in Bethlehem.  Las Posadas is a nine-day celebration, from December 16th to the 24th. In celebration of Las Posadas, people reenact the journey by marching through the down and singing carols.  The traditional foods are tamales and ponche, a punch made from fruits, including guavas and oranges.

Join us for a Las Posadas celebration. Enjoy tamales, making crafts, and singing carols.

All ages welcome.  No registration required.
