Event Details

In celebration of banned book month we are encouraging families and patrons to read a different banned/challenged book in September and October! Then join us for a special viewing of the movie the book is based on. 

For October we are recommending "A Wrinkle in Time" by Madeleine L'Engle. This beloved classic novel has been challenged and even banned in some libraries. 

Telling the story of a two siblings who set off on a heroic tale to save their lost father with the help of their classmate. Full of important lessons about strength, perseverance and having trust in one another, this story will keep your family engaged through every page!

Copies of the book will be available at our branch. 

The movie viewing will be at noon on October 7th. See you there.
