Description of Event
We are Climate Action Campaign, a nonprofit on San Diego dedicated to climate justice, action, and advocacy, and we would like to book the Community Room for a community event that we are hosting in collaboration with the County of San Diego. For this event, we will have invited speakers, an overview of the Regional Decarbonization Framework (County resource to lower carbon emissions throughout the region), and interactive opportunities to provide feedback on climate action projects, priorities, and programs. This event will be workshop-style and provide key platforms for communities who have traditionally not had an opportunity to help shape equitable policies and programs.
We will provide food and drinks, and we will use the tables and chairs for highly interactive and engaging activities. This event is one of 5 events happening throughout the County in support of outreach efforts for the RDF and equitable climate action. We have also already completed the ROE with the City Library system, and these events are in alignment with the City Library's Sustainability Series. Thank you!
