Bailando Sin Cesar

Inspired by the different communities he grew up in, Cesar Castro uses music to honor the culture and history of those who gifted us with the cumbia, salsa, and merengue styles.

Born in Tijuana and having lived in San Diego since he was 12 years old, Cesar aspires to bring together and uplift communities, celebrate upbringings, and heal through singing, dancing, laughing, and other forms of artistic expression.

Bambula

A musical collective from San Diego that formed during the pandemic. What started as just a “jam at a park,” has turned into a mass project with more than 50 involved musicians. Bambula seeks to inspire a future where everyone can have the freedom and the means to dance, to jam, to sing, to breathe.
